ER WORKDAYS THIS WEEK: Thursday, Dec 14, 2-4PM & Friday, Dec 15, 1-3PM…PLEASE JOIN US!

Dear Friends of the Broughton Nature Preserves,

This weekend is the final deer hunting season (for guns). So there will be NO workdays over the weekend! It is good to keep our volunteers safe!

However, there is much work to do, so I am scheduling two workdays for Thursday (2-4 PM) and Friday (1-3 PM).

We will be sowing native seeds and/or cutting and burning brush along the Blue Trail. (See directions below.)

For both workdays, meet at GWB Complex #1 by the Blue Trail entrance (near YMCA). The weather looks perfect: cold and clear!

If you have an extra rake, please bring that along. Otherwise, we will supply the tools, snacks and good company.

Hope some of you can make it out for this important restoration work.

Directions to GWB Complex #1:

1. Enter the GWB Complex #1 off State Route 821. This is the complex nearest Marietta, just off Route 60.
2. Drive into the Complex and head left towards the Community Building.
3. Once you cross the creek, turn right and go as far down as possible. Park near the YMCA’s furthest building.
4. We meet at the trailhead of the Blue Trail.
