The Elizabeth Sugden Broughton Community Building is designed for all public and private events that unite people. It can be reserved for weddings, class reunions, family reunions, anniversaries, memorials, exercise and dance classes, entertainment, education, public meetings, corporate retreats and conferences, trade shows, and more! 

The Community Building has a state-of-the-art sound system, a kitchen for food brought in by users and caterers, a patio with a grill, a fire pit, and many other features. All entrances and restrooms are ADA-compliant.

Events can also be held outside.

The Community Building and Grounds are conveniently located near the main entrance to the Broughton Nature and Wildlife Education Area on State Route 821 in The Park’s activity center. View the photo gallery. 

The Chestnut Room is the perfect venue for meetings, birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, and more!

It is conveniently located in GWB Complex 1, Building 4, on OH Route 821 between OH Route 60 and I-77 Exit 6 near Marietta, Ohio. It is situated near the park main entrance of the Broughton Nature and Wildlife Education Area, a native woodland with acres of trails, streams, ponds, and SE Ohio habitat.

Features of the Chestnut Room include:

• comfortable space for up to 50 people

• tables & chairs

• two unisex restrooms

• internet access

• natural light from floor-ceiling window

• plenty of convenient parking

The Buckeye Room is an 800-square-foot space that can accommodate up to 30 people. It can be used as a staging area for inside or outside events, a reception area, a meeting room, or other small gatherings. Rental can include the use of the Fire Pit. 

The Pavilion/Shelter is perfect for outdoor events. Features include running water, portable toilets, a bike service station and rack, picnic tables and seating, convenient parking, acres of open fields close to hiking trails, and the Devola Multi-Use Trail. 

The Foundation will post a RESERVED sign on the Pavilion, and the interior will be pressure-washed before arrival.

Pavilion rental and Buckeye Room rental can include a fire pit. 

Firewood is NOT provided. Guests are responsible for firewood, fire safety, distancing, and extinguishing the fire before leaving the area. Contact us to reserve the Pavilion and fire pit!

Broughton Business Park and Broughton event venues border the Broughton Nature and Wildlife Education Area.

Please note: 

• Submitting a request does not guarantee a reservation.
• A daily rental fee and refundable deposit are required with reservation and are payable in advance.
• Deposits will be returned ten days after the event if contract conditions have been met.
