Restoration Workday, Sat, Mar 29, 1-4

Dear Friends of the Broughton Nature Preserve,

Let’s get back in the field!  This Saturday from 1-4 PM we will continue removing invasive shrubs along the Blue Trail.  Meet at the GWB complex #1 at 1PM.  (See directions below.)

Dress for the weather–but long pants, good shoes and long sleeves are highly recommended.  We will provide tools, gloves, snacks and good company.

Spring is arriving.  Spring flowers are coming out–and invasive shrubs are easy to identify now–they come up early as well.  Nature is awakening.  We will give you a very close look!
(Directions to GWB Complex #1:

1.        Enter the GWB Complex #1 off State Route 821.  This is the complex nearest Marietta, just off Route 60.

2.       Drive into the Complex and head left towards the Community Building.

3.       Once you cross the creek, turn right and go as far down as possible.  Park near the Buckeye Room—the furthest building before you hit the woods.

4.       We meet at the trailhead of the Blue Trail.

Cheers!
