2020 RTA Update:
To Our RTA Community Near & Far:

This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the Rivers, Trails & Ales Festival in our hometown of Marietta, Ohio. Every single year since RTA Fest began we’ve seen growth in attendance, growth in our outdoor recreation community, growth for support of our local breweries and small businesses, and growth in appreciation for our rivers and trails.

It is with the utmost of respect and community love during these trying times of COVID-19 that the RTA Advisory Council is announcing this year’s 2020 Rivers, Trails & Ales Festival will look much different than it has in the past. While this year’s RTA Fest will not be hosted physically – yes, that’s right, no RTA Headquarters, no Beer Fest, and no group events – the RTA Advisory Council remains committed to our mission to uplift outdoor recreation and all things rivers, trails, and ales in our corner of southeast Ohio.

While this informed decision is difficult to make, we prioritize the health of our community above all things. With that priority and commitment to our mission, we are excited to announce a variety of experiences through a four-week RTA summer celebration beginning in July. This celebration will consist of Kids on Trails (gnome hikes, etc.), a series of different hiking/running, cycling, and paddling trails to complete, potentially having Strava badges, and developing a custom Untappd badge for the Ales side to promote our local breweries.

The Rivers, Trails, and Ales Festival is more than a festival; it is a community of people that come together to invest in all things local, uplift our natural assets, and build friendship over pints of beer. We have been continually inspired by how our community comes together and we ask that we keep our spirits high – and raise our spirits even higher – as we move forward!

Stay tuned for more details by the end of June. Stay healthy and always support local.

Yours,
The RTA Advisory Council
