Restoration Workday, Thursday, July 17, 8:30 to 11:30AM

Dear Friends of the Broughton Nature Preserve,

We will have a restoration workday this Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.   We will continue to work along the Blue Trail.  Last week we made some great progress.

We will supply tools, snacks, water and good company.  We are working in the shaded valley–so it is much cooler–but still humid!

“The woods are lovely, dark and deep….”

Meet at the Blue trailhead at GWB Complex #1 (directions are below).

Hope to see some of you on Thursday!

Mark and Tucker

Directions to GWB Complex #1:

  1. Enter the GWB Complex #1 off State Route 821.  This is the complex nearest Marietta, just off Route 60.
  2. Drive into the Complex and head left towards the Community Building.
  3. Once you cross the creek, turn right and go as far down as possible.  Park near the Buckeye Room—the furthest building before you hit the woods.
  4. We meet at the trailhead of the Blue Trail.
