Restoration Workday, Thurs, Feb 27, 9 AM-Noon

Dear Friends of the Broughton Nature Preserve,

Let’s do another workday this Thursday, from 9AM-Noon.  We are finishing up work around the Blue Trailhead and the lower retention pond.  (Directions below.)

Dress for the weather.  We will provide tools, gloves, snacks and good company!

Remember–winter is the best time to do invasive species removal as nature is still (mostly) asleep.  By removing the invasive shrubs, we will allow the sunlight to hit the soil and let (hopefully) some good native flowers, shrubs and trees to flourish.

Join us!

  3. Once you cross the creek, turn right and go as far down as possible.  Park near the YMCA’s furthest building.
