Restoration Workday: Thurs, 9-Noon + Rivers Trails & Ales Festival

Dear Friends of the Broughton Nature Preserve,

We will have a restoration workday this Thursday AM along the Blue Trail.  Meet at 9AM–see directions below.  We continue to make our way up Second Creek towards the Red Trail–removing lots of invasive shrubs along the way!

Dress for working in the woods:  long pants and long sleeve shirts are the best.  We will provide tools, water, snacks and good company.

We will meet at the head of the Blue Trail (see directions below).

Rivers, Trails and Ales….

Lots of great outdoor activities this weekend at the Rivers, Trails and Ales Festival.  Check it out!:  https://www.rtafest.com/

There will be two hikes at Broughton’s Nature Preserves:  Friday at 5:30PM and Sunday at 8:30AM.  So if you just want to hike, come join us then.

Here are directions for the workday:

Directions to GWB Complex #1:

1.        Enter the GWB Complex #1 off State Route 821.  This is the complex nearest Marietta, just off Route 60.

2.       Drive into the Complex and head left towards the Community Building.

3.       Once you cross the creek, turn right and go as far down as possible.  Park near the YMCA’s furthest building.

4.       We meet at the trailhead of the Blue Trail.

Hope you can join us!
