Next Restoration Workday: Sunday, May 21, 2-5 pm, Blue Trail

Dear Friends of the Broughton Nature Preserve,

We did some fantastic work starting to clear the Blue Trail last Sunday (see before and after pictures below!).  Clearing along the trail and stream will make a dramatic difference: opening the trail to light and native plants!

We will meet behind the GWB Complex #1, parking near the YMCA’s farthest building (directions below).

The weather looks perfect, but dress in long pants and good work boots or shoes.  It can be pretty muddy!

We will provide tools, gloves and snacks, and good company!

Directions to GWB Complex #1:

  1. Enter the GWB Complex #1 off State Route 821.  This is the complex nearest Marietta, just off Route 60.
  2. Drive into the Complex and head left towards the Community Building.
  3. Once you cross the creek, turn right and go as far down as possible.  Park near the YMCA’s furthest building.
  4. We meet at the trailhead of the Blue Trail.
