We will have a restoration workday this Saturday (March 15th) from 1-4PM.

Dear Friends of the Broughton Nature Preserve,
We will continue to remove invasive shrubs (mostly autumn olive, multiflora rose, privet and burning bush).
Please wear long pants, long sleeve shirts and sturdy shoes or boots.  We will be working in the woods!
We will be working on the hillside just above GWB complex #3.  It is an easy walk to the site from the parking lot.  (See directions below.)
We will provide tools, gloves, snacks and good company!
Spring is starting to show its signs.  Come watch the park start to come alive!
Hope to see you.

Directions to GWB Complex #3:

Enter the GWB Complex #3 off State Route 821.  It is the complex nearest the entrance/exit off Interstate 77.

Go up the hill to the first set of buildings.  Turn left.

Proceed all the way to the end of these buildings.  Before you head down to the pond, turn right, and go all the way up the hill.  The road will take you past all of the buildings.  The road up the hill is a gravel road.

Parking is on top of this hill.
