Next Steward Workday: Sun, Mar 20, 2-5

Dear friends of the Broughton Nature Preserve,

Again, we will have only one restoration workday this week:  Please note–it will be SUNDAY from 2-5 PM.   The weather is perfect for removing woody invasives and for observing nature come back to life!

Last Saturday, one of our volunteers found and identified two different vernal pools with wood frog and spotted salamander egg sacks; pictured below.

Meet at the parking lot above the GWB Complex #3 (directions below).  We will continue our work around the upper pond.

Dress for the weather!  Be sure to wear long pants, long-sleeve shirts and good boots.  We are working in some pretty overgrown areas and the trails will still be muddy.

We will provide tools, gloves, snacks and good company.

Hope to see some of you there!
