Native Plant Sale Saturday 9-1 — Plant Plugs Sunday 2-4
Dear Friends of the Broughton Nature Preserve,
We are one of the hosts for a Native Plant Sale at the Marietta Farmer’s Market this Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM. Come support local native plant nurseries and native plants!
We will have a restoration workday THIS SUNDAY from 2 to 4 p.m. at Broughton’s. We will plant plugs of native grasses in the areas we have cleared along the Blue Trail.
We will meet at GWB Complex #1, at the Blue Trailhead at 2PM. (Directions below). Dress for the weather and getting in the dirt! Bring a hand trowel if you have one.
We will provide gloves, snacks, and good company!
Mark K.
Directions to GWB Complex #1:
1. Enter the GWB Complex #1 off State Route 821. This is the complex nearest Marietta, just off Route 60.
2. Drive into the Complex and head left towards the Community Building.
3. Once you cross the creek, turn right and go as far down as possible. Park near the YMCA’s furthest building.
4. We meet at the trailhead of the Blue Trail.
