New features and facilities for 2021 include a fire pit conveniently located near the main entrance to the Broughton Nature and Wildlife Education Area. It is situated between the Pavilion, Devola Multi-Use Trail, and Elizabeth Sugden Broughton Community Building. The fire pit is built on a compacted stone surface. The Foundation thanks the Washington County Health Department for the fire pit and Adirondack chairs which make it possible to gather outside in good weather. Thanks also to Doug Lowe Construction and Greenleaf Landscapes for their expertise and craftsmanship to bring it all together!

The fire pit is available to anyone renting the Pavilion. Firewood is NOT provided. Guests are responsible for firewood, fire safety, distancing, and extinguishing the fire before leaving the area. Contact us to reserve the Pavilion and fire pit!
