Dear Friends of the Broughton Nature Preserve,
We will have two restoration workdays this week–both in conjunction with some groups of volunteers.
Wednesday: 9AM–Noon. Fishing pond at GWB Complex #3.
A bit of a change of pace: we will be clearly brush from the woods surrounding the fishing pond at GWB #3. Follow directions below.
We will meet at the fishing pond shelter.
This is a lovely public space, but alas, like many areas it is surrounded by invasive shrubs. Our goal is to clear them out and re-seed with native plants.
Sunday: 1PM-4PM. Seed collection GWB Complex #3. Follow directions below.
We will be doing mostly seed collecting on the workday, and also some seed sowing on the hillside that were seeded last fall.
For both workdays, we will provide tools, gloves, snacks and good company.
Hope to see some of you there!

Directions to GWB Complex #3:
- Enter the GWB Complex #3 off State Route 821. It is the complex nearest the entrance/exit off of Interstate 77.

- Proceed all the way to the end of these buildings. Before you head down to the pond, turn right, and go all the way up the hill. The road will take you past all of the buildings. The road up the hill is a gravel road.

Note: for the Wednesday workday, just head down to the pond when you come to it!
