Ecological Restoration Workday, Thurs, July 3, 8:30-11:30 AM
Dear Friends of the Broughton Nature Preserve,
We will do a restoration workday this Thursday from 8:30-11:30AM (to beat the heat). Meet at the head of the Blue Trail, GWB Complex #1 (directions below). We will be cutting invasive brush along the Blue Trail–so we will be in the woods and in the valley (also to beat the heat).
Come join us! We continue to make our way up the Blue Trail–we are well over half way up the trail.
Dress for the weather–long pants, good shoes, and even a long sleeve shirt are highly recommended–we will be cutting brush! We will provide tools, snacks, water and good company.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
And we have promises to keep….
Hope to see you this Thursday!

Directions to GWB Complex #1:
- Enter the GWB Complex #1 off State Route 821. This is the complex nearest Marietta, just off Route 60.
- Drive into the Complex and head left towards the Community Building.
- Once you cross the creek, turn right and go as far down as possible. Park near the Buckeye Room—the furthest building before you hit the woods.
- We meet at the trailhead of the Blue Trail.
