Tree Planting: Saturday afternoon, May 3, 1 PM

Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge

Meet at the Williamstown boat ramp
Dear Friends of the Broughton Nature Preserve,
Once again we need to help our friends at the Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge.  While we did a great job on our EarthDay tree planting (we planted all the trees and shrubs we had–around 650!!), unfortunately, more than 200 trees had not yet arrived.
So we need to do one last push to get all of these trees in the ground before summer hits!  Please join us this Saturday afternoon, 1 PM at the Williamstown boat ramp.

As time and volunteers allow, we also need to put tree guards on many of the trees and shrubs we planted two weeks ago.
Dress for the weather–and be sure to wear long pants and good shoes!  Weeds are up!
We will provide tools, gloves, water, snacks, and good company.
Hope you can join us this Saturday!
