A tribute to Tucker—AmeriCorps Land Management Technician, Intern, Environmental Conservationist, and soon-to-be College Graduate!
Tucker is passionate about nature and environmental conservation. During the summer of 2025, he received valuable experience as a Land Management Technician in the Broughton Nature and Wildlife Education Area. Tucker’s focus has been on removing invasive species on the Broughton right-of-way meadow and other trails, documenting the ecological health of the natural areas in the park, and supporting trail maintenance. He also conducted forest surveys alongside his mentor, Mark Krivchenia, to create an ecological management plan for the park. Tucker then returned to college to complete his degree in Environmental Biology, where he has acquired a specific interest in botany.
Tucker’s work helped our foundation provide opportunities for recreation, education, environmental study, ecological restoration, and gatherings on hundreds of acres of mostly undisturbed southeastern Ohio habitat.
